We don’t lack for steakhouses in Charleston, and everyone certainly has their favorite, but no one will question the quality of the steaks at the family-run Halls, nor the sincerity of its owners in showing you a good time. It’s impossible to get in and out of there without shaking Billy Hall’s hand, or having his dad give you a gentle pat on the back, or both. They are hard workers; they look for opportunities to improve, and they listen to their customers. In all, their popularity proves there’s still a desire for such establishments, where a personal greeting comes with a perfectly cooked steak.
