Vickery's Bar & Grill

Downtown. 15 Beaufain St. 577-5300
Mt. Pleasant. 1313 Shrimp Boat Lane. 884-4440

The Vickery's story began in an historic Atlanta house in 1983. The first Vickery's Bar & Grill was named after Margaret Vickery, a friend of Gone With the Wind author Margaret Mitchell who lived in the building until the late 1970's.

Lured by the sea, the owners set up shop in Charleston on Beaufain Street in 1993. The Mt. Pleasant location followed six years later. A warm, convivial atmosphere and nice food and beverage specials make Vickery's a very attractive after-work spot.

While the $1 PBR cans and $3 house liquor drinks sing their own siren song, there are plenty of ways to be done in by crispy, creamy, and delicious munchies as well. The happy hour menu features such snacks as artichoke dip with pitas, spring rolls, and black-eyed pea fritters. The new sampler platter is a hit, too. The whole scene buzzes every afternoon on either side of the Cooper.
