When Mitch Pugh first took over the helm of the Post and Courier, we knew some changes were in store. So we were simultaneously shocked and not-so shocked when he began to overhaul the South's oldest daily. Since Pugh's arrival, the P&C gang has moved Brian Hicks' column to page 2, started The South section, hired top-notch food writer Hanna Raskin, and transformed the weekly Food section into a force to be reckoned with. From a reader's standpoint, each move was a success. Now if only they would nix Garfield. That cat's got to go.
