Best Hotdogs with a Side of Heart

Gee’s Infamous Dogs & More

Staff Pick

Charleston’s nightlife community — from musicians to food and beverage workers to late-night revelers — were at a loss when the news broke that Gary “Gee” Alameda, beloved vendor of Gee’s Infamous Dogs & More, died in October. You could usually find Gee outside the Music Farm, and he was always up for more than just cookin’ up a mean dog — he loved to smile, chat, and make folks laugh. Befriending dozens by the day, Gee left a big hotdog-shaped hole in the hearts of so many Charlestonians. We sure do miss you, Gee. —Kelly Rae Smith
