Best Hunk of Fish

The Codfather

Staff Pick

Charleston has a handful of British pubs selling fish and chips, but none come so close to the real thing as Adam Randall’s new Codfather in North Charleston. His chipper, appropriately decked in tchotchkes like a photo of the Queen, keeps it classic. He sells fish, chips, mushy peas, and gravy. That’s it, and frankly that’s exactly what we want, especially when the fish is a giant slap of piping hot fried cod. At $10 for fish and chips, this is the most affordably filling deal in town. —Kinsey Gidick
