When it comes to giving a beer aficionado a reason to spend a week’s paycheck on booze, the biggest temptation at the Charleston Beer Exchange is not its big, badass growler station. Nope. It’s the bottles of craft beer on the island in the middle of the room. We’ve been tempted numerous times, and more often than not, we give in. Our faves: Dogfish Head’s Red and White, Sierra Nevada’s Bigfoot Barley Wine, and Van Twee’s Belgian Ale, a collaboration between Bell’s Brewery and De Proef’s Brouwery.
