Chef and proprietor Michael Scognamiglio has assembled a lengthy list of Mediterranean treats and specialty salads on his menus, ranging from hearty and exotic to delicate and refined. One of his stand-out dishes is also one of his most straightforward. Bacco's rich Lasagna Bolognese ($14) is a traditional layered lasagna made with a creamy béchamel, a savory meat ragu, and a thinly sliced boiled egg hidden in the middle layer.
