We've always loved shopping at the Vegetable Bin. It's small, easy to navigate, and packed with veggies that are cheaper than what you'd find at the neighboring grocery store. They closed for a couple years, and we were sad. But then they reopened and found themselves in a great position to work with GrowFood Carolina as an outlet for local produce from the surrounding farms. Now, we can get a farmers market experience six days a week, and the Veggie Bin is chock full of seasonal surprises. You can find bags of washed and spun micro arugula for less than a dollar. They've got fresh honey, eggs, and all the staple veggies you might need to make yourself a bountiful pot of stew. Once, we stumbled across South Carolina-grown kiwi fruit. We're happy the Veggie Bin has found its niche again. It deserves it.
