Seems like just yesterday Eye Level Art was a teeny tiny gallery on Queen Street that could barely fit a small crowd. But over the last year, they’ve established themselves as one of the city’s most active event venues. Blame it on owner Mike Elder’s ambition or the hiring of new gallery coordinator Caroline Millard, a recent CofC grad. But the place’s reach seems to know no bounds. In their bare-bones Spring Street space, they’ve hosted everything from clothing swaps to dinners to concerts to movie nights to dance classes. And yep, they’ve even managed to fit a couple of art shows in there as well, with Kevin Taylor’s impressive Half Life Whole Hearted opening in January. Keep it up, Eye Level.
