The new Memorial Waterfront Park in Mt. Pleasant opened last summer with a big celebration, and it’s quickly become a favorite gathering spot for families with young kids. While Alhambra’s playground in the Old Village benefits from grand old oaks and a sprawling, old-school playground, the new attraction has sweeping views of the Ravenel Bridge and cool, brand-new nautical-themed equipment. With a mini version of the bridge to climb on and plenty of dizzy-inducing spinning toys, the kids will be occupied for hours on end. And afterwards, an ice cream from the gift shop and a stroll on the pier will mark a perfect end to your fun-filled day.
