John M. Rivers Communications Museum

Staff Pick

My first experience at CofC’s Communications Museum didn’t come from being a Communications major at CofC. Although I was also a Comm gal, it was a music show that got me through the doors of that charming space about a decade ago. The museum is situated inside the Elliot House, a lovely little two-story building that’s been around since 1803. Local house show organizers still occasionally hold events there, because there’s something about being surrounded by those antique radios, televisions, phonographs, telephones, magic lanterns, and motion picture projectors that makes the music all the more captivating.
