Best Passive-Aggressive Facebook Page

Any Neighborhood in Charleston

Staff Pick

Don’t get us wrong, we love social media. It’s an amazing way to connect. But when unleashed on an entire neighborhood, well, it can become the ultimate venue for passive-aggressively suggesting one’s neighbor get off your lawn. We’re not naming any page names (Wagener * cough * Terrace), but for as many helpful curb alert posts, there are twice as many First World problems bandied about. You thought the streets of Aleppo were rough? Try being woken up by your neighbor mowing the lawn at 9 a.m. That’s just one of the atrocities happening in a certain Upper Peninsula neighborhood that we now know about thanks to a community Facebook page. Luckily, neighbors can now join together online in ostracizing the mower instead of, you know, knocking on his door and politely asking him to landscape at noon. —Kinsey Gidick
