Like a Rorschach test, it’s hard not to compare Edmund’s Oast’s kielbasa slider to something vulgar at first sight. And yet Chef Andy Henderson has managed to take what looks like Frodo’s knob and make it into one of the best small plates we’ve enjoyed this year. This spicy little tube is sandwiched on a Lilliputian bun and dressed in green tomato chow chow. Bite into it and it’s a perfect blend of hot meat and just enough whole grain mustard to avoid an R rating. We could write more, but we’d be inching into E.L. James territory.
