The Greater Park Circle Film Society has been a welcome addition to the boho-meets-blue collar burg. Twice a month — more or less — the film society has hosted a screening of an art-house flick, a cult classic, or an award-winning documentary at the South of Broadway Theatre, a venue normally home to plays and the like. And that’s been great. But things have gotten better. The GPCFS’ so-called Olde North Charleston Talking Picture House now has a home of its own, and it’s just around the corner from South of Broadway at 4820 Jenkins Avenue, immediately across the street from the North Chuck football stadium. The best part: Screenings every Saturday night. Awesome.
