Not too long ago, Frisbee golf — sorry — disc golf was something you did at about three o'clock in the afternoon in between football games and that fifth and sixth beer. The goals weren't any more defined then "that there tree over there" and the idea that you would have a driver disc and a putter disc was just about the most retarded — scratch that — dumbest thing imaginable. My how things have changed. While not exactly an Olympic sport, disc golf has become downright respectable, and in the Charleston area, one of the best places to throw nine holes would have to be the Park Circle Disc Golf Course which encircles the traffic loop. So if you love playing the dirty hippie's version of golf — and sucking down car exhaust — then Park Circle is where you need to head. Fore ... cough cough.
