In Coffee and Cigarettes, Bill Murray claims to know a guy who freezes coffee, puts sticks in it, and has himself a coffee popsicle. A caf-pop. Sounds like a brilliant idea to us, especially for a Charleston summer. We're not sure if there's anywhere where you can pick up your own caf-pop (though it's not like you couldn't make your own, and you could use coffee from Charleston Coffee Roasters). But there are some places around town that, when they give you a cool glass of iced coffee, serve it up with coffee ice cubes. Both Sugar and Bull Street Gourmet embrace the trick (your coffee stays cool but doesn't get watered down). Maybe you can request an iced coffee, hold the coffee?
