Player's Place / West Wings

A wide variety of sports fans and dead-serious billiards enthusiasts flock to these cavernous pool halls to shoot pool on the well-maintained tables. Owned by the Player's Place company, who opened the first hall on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard in 1989, all four locations feature a few dozen tables of varying sizes (between seven, eight, and nine feet). The West Wings venues tend to have a sports bar vibe, with bar fare (wings, nachos, spud skins, sandwiches), draught and bottled beers and cocktails, plenty of seating, and TVs tuned into the games. The main Player's Place rooms serve mainly as pool halls, with over 20 tables in each spot. They open at 4 p.m. and offer happy hour until 7 p.m. Weekly and monthly tournaments keep the cue sportsmen occupied throughout the year.
