Jamie Lin Snider hit the local fashion scene last March as an emerging designer at Charleston Fashion Week. The Mt. Pleasant resident had recently relocated from Las Vegas, and she won us over with her black-and-seafoam-colored line paired with sheer socks and pretty peach heels. Snider went on to compete in the final competition against two other designers. The challenge was to create an original garment out of men's shirts, and she whipped up a dramatic gown with fan details. She didn't win the competition that night, but she returns in 2011 as a featured designer. She's also stayed busy designing unique accessories like spats - leather shoe accessories that fit over heels - which have earned fans like Kat Von D. Snider also now makes jewel-covered chain dresses - her models sport them topless, but if you like to keep your girls covered, you could pair one with a basic dress.
