Speaking of Hominy Grill, when they expanded their dining room and patio last year, they had the wise foresight to install a to-go window. And while grabbing a quick biscuit on your way to work is a much more attractive option than waiting outside in the long line for a table, that's not why we're such a fan of this new addition. It's a much easier effort to wait in that long line if you mosey on up to that window, order yourself a mimosa or a Bloody Mary, and take your place back on the patio. It's the closest you'll come to legally drinking from an open container on Rutledge Avenue, and not a bad option on a hot summer day.
