Although Craig Deihl’s Artisan Meat Share gets a charcuterie shout out elsewhere in this section, we couldn’t resist talking about the shop’s stellar tuna sandwich. After all, when was the last time that anybody, anywhere raved about a tuna sandwich? Never. Enter Deihl. Made with oil-cured tuna, garlic aioli, herbs, black olives, chopped egg, tomato, greens, and red wine-shallot vinaigrette and served on ciabatta, his Tuna Niçoise is quite honestly the best tuna sandwich you’ll ever have. Heck, we’d kiss Lindsey Graham on his ham biscuit-loving ass if we could get hold of that sandwich right now.
