The concept is way cool. Gather up some incredible chefs, find a funky location, and invite a bunch of people to take part in a traveling dinner party. The Guerrilla Cuisine idea originated in big cities like San Francisco and New York, but has made its way to our little burg, thanks to McCrady's team of passionate chefs — jimihatt, Andy Allen, and Sean Brock. The first dinner had us winding our way to Irvin~House Vineyards on Wadmalaw where we ate superfresh veggies picked from a plot of land right down the road. The feeling of camaraderie among the guests and the effusive passion of the organizers made for one memorable night. There's a Guerrilla Cuisine event going on most every month.
