Pleasantly cozy with a café vibe, Cork in Park Circle is a great spot to grab a nice Southern dish or some of new chef Eric Brownlee's eclectic reworkings of Continental fare. Their seasonal Sunday brunch was a weekly highlight in 2010. In addition to their petite and generously inexpensive house Bloody Marys, they offered a great concoction in a mason jar called the Mt. Pleasant Bloody Mary. Made with Absolut, green olives, Scales Bloody Mary mix, lemon, lime, and a huge, clove-spiced shrimp, it was spicy, but it also had an almost fruity, super-ripe tomato sweetness. The shrimp was delicious. When they kick brunch back into action this spring, order one with an extra spear of pickled okra, too.
