Over 60 African-American fiber artists from across the nation will be on display at the North Charleston Arts Fest's 13th annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition, Black Gold. Curated by Torreah Cookie Washington this year's exhibition is inspired by Esperanza Spalding's song of the same name. On Thurs. May 2 at noon in the Montague Room, Washington hosts a lunch and learn talk followed by a walking tour of the exhibition. Later that evening at 6 p.m. there will be a reception given by the City of North Charleston on all three floors of City Hall.
