The Blotter is taken from City of Charleston police department reports. We've added a cartoon and a little commentary. We've added a little humor, too. No one has been found guilty. This is not a court of law.

Blotter Threat O' The Week: "I don't need a gun. I can do it with my bare hands."

An alarm went off after business hours at a Cumberland Street bar on Nov. 23. When the place was searched, a man was found hiding in a stall of the women's bathroom with a pair of pliers and drug paraphernalia.

A West Ashley man placed a newspaper ad to sell some jewelry in April, and local police were recently contacted about the events that followed. A man replied to the ad, and the two went to a mall to have the jewelry appraised. They agreed on a price of $500, which was paid to the seller. Immediately, the seller realized the $100 bills were counterfeit and confronted the buyer, who sprayed him with mace and ran away. Ch-ching! Dude got mega owned.

On Nov. 28, a man was chased out of a West Ashley discount store after being seen stuffing baby clothes under his shirt. As the store's security officer followed him through the store, he said, "I know who you are and I'm gonna kill you." Maybe he should have just registered at Target.
