When: Fri., Aug. 12, 12 p.m. 2016
Poet, essayist, and environmental studies expert John Lane, will discuss his book, Coyote Settles the South at this Friday’s author luncheon at High Cotton. After reports of increased coyote populations on IOP, Sullivan’s Island, and Mt. Pleasant, Lane’s book discussion comes at a fitting time. In Coyote, Lane visits swamps, nature preserves, old farm fields, and city streets, as he tracks the migration of the American coyote. Ultimately, Lane argues for the protection of coyotes, and the acceptance of them as part of our environment. This discussion includes a three-course luncheon.
