Cold Soldiers, written, directed, and co-produced by CP-er Nick Smith and shot entirely in the Lowcountry, will have a special fundraising screening at East West Health Arts (792 Folly Road) on Sat. Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. The screening will raise money to cover film festival submission costs. “Entering film festivals is an expensive business, with each entry fee averaging about $50-$70,” says Smith.
Cold Soldiers won the Audience Award at the Charleston Film Festival. It takes place at the Kershaw Institute, where psychologist John Dance helps spies and soldiers recover from mental breakdowns.
Tickets are $5. For more info, call co-producer and star Trevor Erickson at (843) 568-3965 or visit Clandestine Film's website.
