When: Thu., July 30 2009
Another hurricane season is upon us and with the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Hugo approaching, it is as important as ever to be prepared. The Chamber’s Business Continuity Planning Council will host a workshop on “Hurricane Preparedness for Business” which will teach attendees how to plan for sustaining their business before, during and after a storm hits. Representatives from the private and public sector will re-enact how they prepare, communicate and react if a storm should hit. The exercise will give attendees a better understanding of how they work together during a storm and provide the tools to write and refine their own business continuity plan. The interactive exercise will split attendees into groups by job function (IT, Operations, Facilities, HR/Finance, Communications) so discussion is specific to roles within an organization. The cost is $35 non-member, $25 Chamber member. To register visit www.charlestonchamber.net. WHEN: Thursday, July 30, 2009 7:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Price: $35 non-member/ $25 Chamber member
