Charleston Farmers Market

When: Saturdays, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Continues through Dec. 21 2013

If you’re making a list and checking it twice, then do yourself a favor and hit the fewest number of stores as possible. Better yet, just head to the Charleston Farmers Market — the last one of the year — and you can get your groceries and some trinkets for under the tree. Know someone who loves the heat? The Pickle Lady has the perfect vinegary present in her peppered pickles. Your BFFs have a green thumb? Hook them up with some plants to keep their gardens blooming all yearlong. Throwing a holiday fête? Pick up a growler of Cannonborough Beverage Co.’s sodas for a scrumptious mixed drink. (Throw some rum into their ginger beer and you’ve got the easiest and most delicious dark and stormy.) Refuel with a crepe and some coffee, watch some street performances, and that’s a pretty successful Saturday.
