Alas, minor league baseball season. When you began in April, it seemed like there were so many games to be played, and so many bacon-wrapped corn dogs to be eaten. Now it's September, and the Charleston RiverDogs are winding down their regular season with a five-game home stretch against the Asheville Tourists.

The final games of the season will be played Sept. 1-5, and it's also your last chance to enjoy the RiverDogs' promotions. That means one more Thirsty Thursday (which also includes a Digi-Camo Jersey Auction) and one more Friday night fireworks show (and it's Red Shirt Friday, Fat Tire Friday, and Boy Scout night). Saturday is Earthquake night, which is kind of appropriate after recent natural events, and kids can run the bases and there will be a tailgate chair giveaway. Sunday is Family Sunday.

For the very last game on Monday, there will be season finale fireworks and Dogs with a Cause.

Remember, tickets are only $6-$17, so get in some of the last gasp of summer while you still can.
