When: Thu., Dec. 15, 7 p.m. 2011
Lowcountry singer/guitarist Eddie Bush will team up with vocalist Bill Champlin of veteran pop band Chicago on Thursday evening as part of the second annual Christmas on the Creek, a benefit concert for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Omar Shrine Temple of Charleston, Y102.5, and Red’s Ice House co-sponsor the show. The Shriners Hospitals for Children provide care to children with neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries, and other special healthcare needs. “Partnering with Shriners is a great honor for me, given the wonderful things they do for children and their families,” Bush says. “I thought it would be an excellent start to our recently-announced relationship, making Shriners Hospitals for Children the beneficiary of our Christmas on the Creek event.” The event takes place at the Lighthouse at Shem Creek, next door to Red’s Ice House. Charleston-based jazz-soul vocalist Keturah Tetrev opens with a set at 7 p.m.
