Chucktown After 5 w/ Dub Island and the Dubplates

When: Fri., Sept. 7 2012

Happy hours are great, but being stuck inside a dark bar during the pretty early evening hours can be a drag. That’s why you should head to Chucktown After 5, which combines everything you love about happy hour — cheap drinks and cool music — with the awesome outdoor setting of the Fountain Walk Plaza. This event series will offer up drink specials and live music each week through the middle of October, starting this weekend with the reggae band Dub Island and the Dubplates. Other bands slated to appear include Two 3 Ways, the Beatles tribute band Sgt. Submarine, and Fowler’s Mustache, who will be playing in October to raise funds for seriously injured bandmate Nick Collins. With the sunset over Charleston Harbor as a backdrop, chances are this will be the most scenic drinking you’ve ever done. And get this: they’ll let you park for free. Try finding that on East Bay Street.
