Chucktown Tavern has new owners — Marty and Hope Young — who are excited about their new menu. Hope, the head chef, designed a lunch menu of Philly cheesesteaks, pulled pork sandwiches, meatball hoagies, and tuna and chicken melts, all of which are served with either chips or French fries. For dinner, the Tavern has blue plate specials like spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, and pork tenderloin with a choice of fresh sides like asparagus, green beans, and mashed potatoes.
Marty is an old local and ready to back in the Holy City. "Our tavern is different from others around the peninsula," says Young. "We want to become a local hotspot."
To that end they have happy hour every day from 4-7 p.m., karaoke on Wednesdays, and live music on Thursdays.
