Closing Reception Contemporary Charleston 2009: Revelation of Process

When: Sat., July 25, 5-6 p.m. 2009

The critically acclaimed Piccolo Spoleto exhibit, Contemporary Charleston 2009: Revelation of Process will conclude its two month run with a reception. Reception attendees are invited to help unstitch Jonathan Brilliant’s installation, "The City Gallery Piece," made from more than 70,000 coffee stirrer sticks that were woven together and that are held together by tension. A process that included 120 hours of weaving will end in one second with the pull at the right stick, in a sort of large scale Jenga game.
