Coldest Beer Dinner of the Year

When: Thu., July 16, 7 p.m. 2009

Really, what’s there to celebrate about the ridiculously high temperatures that come along with July in Charleston? I mean, there are less carriage tours on the road when it gets up in the triple digits, but not being able to walk from your front door to your car without getting zapped by humidity doesn’t exactly make you feel good deep down in your soul.

Lucky for us, Ted’s Butcherblock understands how hard it can be. That’s why they’ve changed this month’s Craft Beer Dinner into a cool escape from the heat of the day. On Thurs. July 16, they host “The Coldest Beer Dinner of the Year” . . . trust us, it sounds more ominous than it is. In reality it just involves ice-cold beer paired with a four-course summer menu consisting completely of cold dishes. Not to sound trite, but that sounds pretty damn cool. For just $30 you can enjoy this meal. Call them at (843) 577-0094 or shoot an email to to reserve your spot. In the words of Paris Hilton, “That’s hot.”

Price: $30
