Comedy for a Cause: Halloween in July Extravaganza

When: Fri., July 22, 9 p.m. 2016

The Sparrow will bring together local comics to celebrate everyone’s favorite holiday, Halloween. In light of the tragic shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, the Sparrow hosts Comedy for a Cause, a night of stand-up and sketches beneftiing a charity fund for those affected by the Pulse shooting. Prior to the show, DJ Pat Nasty will spin tunes. And this is Halloween after all, so all guests are encouraged to dress up. “The idea of the show was to have a unique way for the audience to be a part of the show’s concept and not just attending,” says organizer and comedian Michael Clayton. “We want a festive environment as it is a more welcoming environment for people to enjoy themselves. As for what I am most excited about is for people having the opportunity to enjoy the talent the Charleston Comedy scene has to offer while still being able to provide support for people dealing with a difficult tragedy.”
