Cooper River Bridge Run

When: Sat., April 2, 8 a.m. 2011

Oh, the Bridge Run. Some people love it; they wake up super early and get in the race, or maybe they stand on the sidelines and support their loved ones. And other people? Well, they wish they could just get over to Sullivan’s like they wanted. Still, there’s no denying that this weekend, everyone’s got the bridge on the brain. On Thursday, Jonathan Sanchez will give his 13th Bridge Run reading. Per usual, Blind Tiger is throwing their I Slept Through the Bridge Run Party on Friday night, and Famous Joe’s is hosting the much easier Edgewater Bridge Run (it’s only one-tenth of a mile long). Whether or not you’re participating in the actual run, you can get into plenty of local bars and restaurants earlier than usual to enjoy their pre- or post-run specials, including Burns Alley, Chucktown Tavern, Big John’s, Fiddler’s Green Pub, Pearlz, TBonz, Brick, Moe’s Downtown Tavern, Vickery’s, Trio, and more.
