Athens, Ga.-based Americana band Corduroy Road is back on track with a new lineup and a new set of tunes. The twangy combo formed in 2006, but they took an extended hiatus last year. This year, Drew Carman (vocals, banjo, guitar, harmonica), Elijah NeeSmith (vocals, bass), Matt Dyson (banjo, guitar), and Garrett Chism (drums) pulled things back together and started writing new material for a follow-up to their 2009 album full-length Love is a War (produced by Athens studio wiz John Keane). Local fans can catch Corduroy Road and their down-home sound at the Sullivan's Island Home Team BBQ this Friday.
