HIV/AIDS funding has been drastically cut in recent years, making Dining with Friends an even more crucial fundraising event for Lowcountry AIDS Services.
“We are really relying on the support of the community to dig deep and join us in raising much-needed funds,” says Executive Director Bradley Childs.
To help, all you have to do is put together a guest list of your most charitable friends and invite them to your party. The theme is up to you. It could be a swanky black tie affair or a backyard barbecue. The point is to enjoy your friends while raising money for a good cause. LAS will supply the invitations, envelopes, red ribbons, and party tips.
All of the parties will come together on Saturday to turn in their donations and enjoy champagne and dessert at the Charleston Maritime Center. Sugar Bake Shop, Charleston Cookie Company, Publix, Jestine’s Kitchen, and more will provide the desserts while local jazz and blues singer Ann Caldwell performs. This event is free to hosts and guests.
