If you ever find yourself reminiscing about Disney’s Fantasia, a 1940 film that called itself a technicolor triumph and was set to classical music by Leopold Stokowski, then you may want to check out this concert, Disney’s Fantasia Live. The Czech National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ted Sperling, will perform music from both the original Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, a sequel of sorts that premiered on IMAX screens across the country in 1999. Guests can expect to hear tunes from Tchaikovksy’s The Nutcracker Suite and Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony. Scenes from both films will be shown in high definition on a big screen behind the orchestra.
