Distinguished Lecture Series with Leonard Lauder

When: Wed., Nov. 20, 6 p.m. 2013

With a recent large gift from board member Esther Ferguson, the Gibbes Museum has launched a new lecture series that’s bringing in some heavy hitters in the art world. The first event will bring in Leonard Lauder, a major art collector who’s better known as the chairman emeritus of the Estée Lauder Companies. Lauder is also the longtime chair of the board of directors of the Whitney Museum of American Art, and recently donated his $1.5 billion collection of Cubist art, which includes works by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, to the museum. Lauder will discuss his life as a collector and experiences in the art world. —Elizabeth Pandolfi

Price: $35/members, $45/non-members, $20/students
