Elements Games

When: Sat., May 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 2012

The first-ever Elements Games are coming to Folly Beach, and athletes of all ages, shapes, and sizes are eligible to compete. The Elements Games are an all-day competition series featuring Waboba (a cross between water polo and ultimate frisbee), Spikeball (very similar to volleyball, but as the name implies, much more aggressive), and Ultimate Frisbee tournaments. Amateur athletes of all ages can sign up to play in one, two, or even all three of the tournaments. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning teams and additional prizes are provided by local Charleston businesses, such as Tidal Wave Water Sports, Trophy Lakes, and Tbonz Restaurant Group. Spectators are welcome to come cheer on their favorite teams and try their hand at any of the sports being played. The Tides hotel’s beachfront restaurant Blu is the main sponsor and will be providing food and drinks throughout the day.
