Exhibit Reception: “New Gardens are Ever Appearing”

Join CofC Libraries for the opening reception of the Special Collections exhibit, New Gardens are Ever Appearing: Loutrel Briggs and the Charleston Horticultural Tradition. This exhibit tells the story of Charleston’s most talented botanists, gardeners, and landscape architects who cultivated the rich semi-tropical flora of the Lowcountry over the past 250 years. Guest Sheila Wertimer will provide brief remarks on the life, work, and legacy of the renowned Charleston landscape architect, Loutrel Briggs.
