Flat Foot Floozies, The Brillers

When: Wed., Nov. 30 2011

Armed with vintage instruments, stories, and anecdotes, local troupe the Flat Foot Floozies specializes in a casual blend of old-time, swing, blues, Tin Pan Alley, and early-era country. Singer/multi-instrumentalist Tim Edgar, singer/guitarist/bassist Brad Edwardson, trumpeter Kevin Hackler, percussionist Jessy Vandevort, and electric guitarist Mackie Boles comprise the combo’s core. Edgar and Edwardson often bring harmonica, kazoo, slide guitar, and ukulele into the spicy mix. Both musicians are deceptively dexterous. The band loves playing on the deck of the Tin Roof , and they’ve dazzled audiences with a series of upbeat sets at their favorite haunt for more than a year. The Floozies perform the Tin Roof’s Craft Bazaar on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. With no long-players yet available, fans are still waiting for the Floozies to cut a commercial side.
