WEDNESDAY. The Pinewood Distinguished Speakers Series features Holocaust survivor Dr. Emanuel Tanay at Pinewood Preparatory School.

THURSDAY. The Upper King Street Design Walk includes special design events and refreshments for clients and shoppers alike. Join the Aquarium staff and help clean up Folly Beach with S.C. Aquarium Earth Day Beach Sweep. Robots, Love, and Death includes original paintings, illustrations, shirts, and more from Justin Cammer and Tim Showers. Head to Jimbo’s Rock Lounge to check it out while listening to the H. Michael Band. While the event is free, $2 donations are definitely accepted. If you’re in the Summerville area, don’t miss Summerville D.R.E.A.M’s Third Thursday for live music, a car show, an art walk, summer camp fun, and more. 

FRIDAY. Movies in Marion Square continues with Ghost Bird, a nonfiction tale about birding and more. Grab the kids and bring a blanket or two for a different kind of family movie night. Check out the opening of Shirley Novak’s new art collection Spring Fever.

SATURDAY. Today is the ultimate day for free events. See if you can multitask. Get a head start on Easter with the Easter Festival, The Hat Ladies 10th Easter Promenade, Isle of Palms Easter Egg Hunt, The Cane Bay Egg Drop, or the Easter Handmade Bazaar. Celebrate spring and bring some new plants home from HealthSouth Carolina Native Plant Society Spring Plant Sale. The Slow Food Potluck Dinner is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a seasonal dish and their own beverages. And see some art and learn about social change at the Charleston Dialecticon.

SUNDAY. Yes it’s Easter. But after church and Easter egg hunts, what is there to do? The Easter Sunday Car Show hosts automobiles, jump castles, live entertainment, an egg hunt or two, and more.
