MONDAY. Get jacked up on caffeine and buy some jewelry at Java and Jewels.
TUESDAY. Bully Pulpit plays a show at the Recovery Room.
WEDNESDAY. The Modern Presidency Film and Lecture Series is celebrating Presidents Day a few days late.
THURSDAY. Award-winning poet Emily Rosko will read from her Prop Rockery. While the Modern Connection may be dedicated to social media, they're hoping you leave your computer for an evening and come to their open house. The Island Side Concert Series has the Bach to Basics concert. Minus the Bear is performing a not-so-secret secret show at the Music Farm, but you need to register for tickets (or buy yourself a shot of Jack Daniels at bars around town). And suds fans should stop by Mellow Mushroom's Beer Club Official Launch Party, where you can sign up for the club for free and enjoy drink specials and live music.
FRIDAY. We've all been to a first Friday, and now we can enjoy a Final Friday on Spring Street. Dan Dickey, one of Tivoli's founding artists, will present a show at one of the more unusual venues in town: My Phone MD.
SATURDAY. The Gibbes has a Community Day. This one features music from the CSO woodwind quintet and a performance by the Charleston Argentine Tango Society. Bring your pup to IOP for Doggie Day at the Rec, where they'll have rabies vaccinations, pet photos, local rescues, and a dog show. And the College of Charleston's Visual Arts Club hosts the Cheap Art Auction, with work they produced at a lock-in earlier this month. You never know which of these students will be the next Picasso.
SUNDAY. The Mt. Pleasant Ethan Allen will host a style workshop, and kids can try out an Irish jig at the Charleston Irish Dance Club event.
