Sorry we're a little late with this week's Freeloaders. That's what happens when your interns are all college students and they need to study for finals. Luckily, the abundance of free events this week should make up for our procrastination.
TUESDAY. The library pays its respects to Pear Harbor with a Remembrance Day of films.
WEDNESDAY. Though you may be fully submerged into the Christmas spirit, your dog, which has no concept of time or holidays, may need a little bit of encouragement. We’ll sure a meeting with Santa at Santa Paws will get their tails wagging. Pay tribute to John Lennon, or see Wednesday’s cover girl Sarah Cole and the Hawkes at Mt. Pleasant’s Wild Winge
THURSDAY. Audella Studios welcomes their newest studio designer, Currie Boyd (of Nicholas Lane Handcrafted Jewelry) with a Holiday Trunk Show.
SATURDAY. Both Redux and the North Charleston Artist Guild are having open studio days. Think of it as a creative zoo. Other options include the Pat Conroy book signing (but you’ve got to buy the book), Bizarro Burlesque’s Xmas Bazaar (but you should bring a toy for a tot), Holy City Artists and Fleas (but you’ll probably want to buy a bunch of stuff there), a Candy Shop Vintage trunk show (more stuff you'll want to buy), and taking the kids to see The Polar Express (but you’ve got to like Tom Hanks). Folly Beach has a holiday parade and market, and Mt. Pleasant has a holiday market.
SUNDAY. It’s the second Sunday of the month, and by now you should probably know that that means it’s a Second Sunday on King Street. What a great way to do your Christmas shopping. And enjoy the Christmas parades in Summerville and Mt. Pleasant, or catch the Holiday Extravaganza with the V-Tones at the main library.
