NYE: Be Merry, City Picks

Fun, Festive and Funky New Year's Eve Class

When: Wed., Dec. 31, 10:30 p.m. 2014

Every year, we have the same resolution — we’ll live better, cleaner, healthier. We’ll be more productive human beings. We’ll care more. We’ll love more. We’ll be more. And then midnight rolls around and we’re swigging cheap champagne straight from the bottle and dreaming of the chili cheese fries that will cure our hangover New Year’s Day — not exactly the start of 2015 that we were going for. Thankfully, Holy Cow Yoga is around to help us try and accomplish our better-ness right at the stroke of 12. The yoga studio will host an alternative New Year’s Eve party with Trace Sahaja Bonner leading a 75-minute vinyasa flow class followed by her Winter Solstice meditation. But they aren’t forgoing all New Year’s Eve traditions. The yogis will countdown into the new year — complete with apple cider and cookies. “We believe it is a great choice for a New Year’s Eve plan because we’re creating a fun space for people to be grounded and centered as they head into the new year,” says Alex Rogers of Holy Cow’s studio manager
