Lowcountry AIDS Services (LAS), in partnership with Charleston Pride, hosts Gay Bingo to raise funds and awareness for those affected by HIV/AIDS in the Charleston area. Part of Charleston Pride Week, Gay Bingo could see over 500 attendees, according to event spokeswoman Holly Fisher. Memminger Auditorium will be decorated from floor to ceiling, and the game of bingo itself will be a twist on the classic — players can’t win in a straight line, rather they’ll have to master zig zags and patterns. The evening’s host is popular Lowcountry drag queen Patti O’Furniture, who describes herself as “Camp Queen of the Carolinas” and “The Yard Sale with Legs.” All proceeds from Gay Bingo will go to LAS, a nonprofit that provides case management, access to medical care, and housing, financial, nutritional, and legal assistance to those affected by HIV/AIDS in Charleston and Dorchester counties.
Price: $20/before June 30, $25/after June 30
