G.L.O.C. Live

When: Tue., May 29, Thu., May 31, 10 p.m. and Fri., June 1, 10:30 p.m. 2012

We are women. Familiar funny face Glennis McCarthy (née McMurray) has performed in past Piccolo Fringes and Charleston Comedy Fests, sometimes with her musical improv group I Eat Pandas and other times solo. Back in 2010, she founded the blog G.L.O.C. (i.e. Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy) to call attention to other female comedians in the New York area.

Hear us roar. Pretty soon, the spotlighted women were writing their own articles and columns, and then a live show was born. It combines various forms of comedy with a panel discussion, moderated by McCarthy.

Rambling women. This is the first time the live G.L.O.C. performance has ventured on the road, but a tour is in the works. The Charleston showcase will feature appearances from mostly local ladies Mary Kay Has a Posse and fellow Fringe performers the Reformed Whores.
