Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based rock band Glossary has been playing an earthy, gritty style of rock for more than a decade, but they’ve recently added a touch of old-school soul and gospel to their latest compositions. The band’s latest album Long Live All of Us grooves with Memphis-style swagger. “In light of all the bad things happening in the world, we ended up making an extremely positive record,” says frontman Joey Kneiser. He and his bandmates — bassist Bingham Barnes, drummer Eric Giles, singer/percussionist Kelly Kneiser, and guitarist/pedal steel player Todd Beene — return to Charleston this week with Indiana-based singer/guitarist Austin Lucas, a country-rock songsmith with a punk lineage. Lucas and his band headline behind a new album titled A New Home in the Old World.
